Spectrum Centre for Independent Living is an organisation that wants to change how others see disabled people.
Spectrum believes that disabled people should be included and valued for who they are and what they give to society.
We do not make any profit and we are run for the community as a Community Interest Company or CIC for short.
Spectrum is run and managed by disabled people. It is a disabled people’s user led organisation or DPULO for short.
What we do
Because we are led and run by disabled people, we want to help disabled people to have choice and control to live their lives in the way they want, the same as non disabled people.
We provide services to people and always try to work with them to plan and deliver services that are best suited to their needs.
Our services help people to have control over their own lives.
Our services are good value for money for people who buy services officially.
How we provide services to suit you
We are run by the people we work with. This means we work with disabled people to develop and provide services and projects.
We work with people who are involved with Spectrum, like people who work in the public, private and voluntary sectors to change things for the better.
We offer fresh and modern social policy plans to improve the lives of disabled people.
We have set up a well run organisation which is good value for money and which offers services that users want and which is valued by people who buy services officially.
