Important information on SPECTRUM Group response to Covid 19 – 17th March 2020

Following the latest Government advice SPECTRUM has, from today, put in place an action plan to ensure we can continue to deliver essential services while keeping both our staff and service users safe.

From today, all staff, will be required to work from home until further notice. Visits to the office will still be made where strictly necessary, although contact with others will obviously be kept to a minimum. Individual staff members can be contacted by telephone or email in the usual way.

All meetings and assessments etc will be done remotely whenever possible.

We have also closed down our Conference Centre and stopped taking bookings for conference and meeting room hire with immediate effect.

For the safety of both staff and visitors, our offices will be closed for visitors unless they have an agreed appointment until further notice.

N.B. If you use any of our services please note the following:

Direct Payments, Support Planning and Brokerage, Managed Budgets support services and Payroll Service – these services will still be available and staff can be contacted by telephone or email in the usual way.

SO:Linked Community Navigation – referrals are still being taken and staff can be contacted in the usual way. However, we will not be making any home visits unless this is completely unavoidable. Community Drop-ins have also been suspended until further notice.

Hate Crime support – this service remains in operation but our Hate Crime Co-ordinator will be working from home until further notice due to being in an ‘at risk’ category.

SPECTRUM Continuing Care Personal Assistance Agency – the service will be continuing to operate as usual although Office staff will only be making home visits when it is essential to do so. All our PAs will also be carrying Personal Protective Equipment with them until further notice.
Where a PA has, or suspects they have, the virus they will obviously be required to self-isolate straight away. We are also currently drawing up detailed plans for dealing with situations where a service user or a family member has, or suspects they have, the virus and further information will be posted shortly. Obviously we will do everything we can to make sure that people are not left without support.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation as it develops and will be regularly reviewing information from the relevant authorities to make sure we are doing everything that we possibly can to maintain our services through this difficult time. Any new or changed information will be posted as soon as we have it.
